ACTIVITIES FOR THE COASTAL EMPIRE COUNCIL

SCOUT FEST: March 19-21, 2010, at Taro DZ right off HWY 144 west of Richmond Hill, Georgia
Theme:" Duty to Country.” The chair of the event is Steve George.
SCOUT JAMBORAMA: April 30-May 3, 2010, at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds on Rte. 67 in Statesboro. Theme: “Good Turns for the Community.” The chair of the event is Jack Williamson.
SCOUT REUNION: August 13-15, 2010, at the Memorial Stadium in Savannah.
Theme:" Be Prepared for the Future.” The chair of the event is Ed Farrell.
100 RELIGIOUS AWARDS FOR 100 YEARS will be an on-going program throughout the celebration with a goal of Scouts (CS, BS, and VS) and Scouters earning their religious awards.
Theme: “Duty to God.” The chair of the event is Rev. Sam Watkins.
Plans are being made to construct a council float that can be displayed at or used in communities throughout the Coastal Empire Council during the official 100
th Anniversary period.There will be some commemorative items available for purchase through these events and from the council Scout Shop, with proceeds used to offset the costs involved, as well as items from National sold through Scout Supply.
