2008 CUB SCOUT SHOOTING SPORTS WEEKEND

A Totally NEW and Exciting Program Awaits You and Your Cub Scout at Camp Blue Heron This Spring!
Our Cub Scout Shooting Sports Weekend has been specifically designed for Bear Cubs, Webelos and their Adult Parent Partner.
Important Note: There must be a 1 Adult to 1 Scout ratio to attend this special event. A Cub Scout must have a parent or parent substitute, another adult 21 years of age or older, accompany him throughout the weekend activities.
According to the rules set forth by BSA Shooting Standards, Cub Scouts can only acquire the Shooting Sports Belt Loops and Activity Pins under the direction of a certified BSA Shooting Sports Director at a Council sponsored event.
It is recommended that participants arrive having already completed the Archery and BB Gun Belt Loop requirements but, we will also provide these classes for those who need to complete them.
The Staff of Camp Blue Heron have worked many hours developing this higher level shooting program where participants (Youth and Adults) may qualify for the Archery and BB Gun Activity Pins. See Requirements.
Provisions have been made for additional shooting ranges for both BB Gun and Archery to accommodate participants. New Daisy Model #499
Rifles have been purchased for the program as well as adding new supplies and equipment in the Archery department. There will also be many Cub Scout related program Electives and activities to choose from along with these special shooting opportunities.
The cost per person for the weekend will be $27. Five meals are provided beginning with the Friday evening meal. Shooting Sports Weekend will be offered to a limited number of participants. Only 200 Participants, 100 Adults and 100 Scouts combined may register. Please reserve your place NOW!
