Attention All Scouters!!

On April 12, 2008, the Coastal Empire Council is sponsoring the first ever City of Savannah Religious Hike. Thanks to Scoutmaster Ken Luikart and Troop 665 of Rincon, the 6 mile hike is laid out to provide trekkers an interesting and informative day of touring this magnificent city.

The hike will begin at 8:00 A.M. at the Visitors Center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, from there the hikers will travel the beautiful and historic Savannah streets. They will be stopping at 16 points of interest along the way to appreciate our country’s religious heritage.

Unit Leaders who verify their Unit’s completion of the hike will be awarded the appropriate number of patches and bolos with a brand new, one-of-a-kind design that illustrates “A Scout is Reverent.” The cost for the patches will be $4.00 and $10.00 for the bolos. The patch and bolo can be purchased together for $12.00.
