The Coastal Empire Council, BSA, chartered by the Boy Scouts of America on April 1, 1920, has helped mold the lives of more than 100,000 youth.
The Council supports programs in an 11 county areas including: Chatham, Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, Long, Screven, Tattnall, and Toombs.
Today more than 12,000 youth are served through community based cub packs, Scout Troops, Venture Crews, and Learning for Life Groups and Explorer Posts. In the history of the Council over 1,350 Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Since 1920, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of the local communities by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth, puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.
