Weekend Trek Adventures
High Energy and High Adventure awaits you at the Coastal Empire Council! Take advantage of our great Team Building Programs for Boy Scouts, Venturing Members and Explorers! These are High Adventure Programs requiring participants to be 13 on or before September 1st of the year of participation. Participants will be required to attend a Pre-Orientation Workshop to develop their Kayaking, Navigational, Wilderness Survival and LEAVE NO TRACE camping techniques for these awesome thrill packed Marshland and Sea Adventure Weekend or Day Treks!

Orientation Workshop Itinerary
Participants should be prepared to arrive at 8:00 AM at the Council Service Center in Savannah, Georgia. Transportation will be provided to special training area. After arriving, participants will be divided into Watches (or Crews) and tour around several ongoing training sessions at the training facilities. Highlighted sessions would be: Details for registration, required medical information and Hold Harmless Agreements; BSA Official Swim Test; High Tech Wilderness Gear and Campsite setup; Trek Menus and Food Preparation; Water Safety and Rescue; Developing Kayak Skills: In Lake experience. Depending on temperatures, a wetsuit may be required. Wetsuits can be rented from several of the wilderness or skin diving outfitters in Savannah for a minimal charge. ($15-$20 per weekend). Lunch will be available for $3.00 per person. Please pay the fee at our Council Service Center before attending Workshop. The Workshop will be conducted until about 4-4:30 PM. Registration: Individuals, Units and Adult Leaders may register for the Sea Kayaking Adventure Trek Weekends.
Day Trek Participants
Participants need to attend the Orientation Workshop Training Sessions which addresses: Registration details, required Hold Harmless Agreements and Medical information, BSA Official Swim Test, Water Safety, Rescue and Basic Kayaking Skills. A wetsuit may be desired depending on the temperatures.
Weekend Trek Fees = $110.00 per participant.
Day Trip Fees=$35.00 per participant.
Participants need to bring the following items to Workshops: bathing suit, towels, wetsuit (depending on the temperature), change of clothing, pencil, a notebook and $3 for lunch .
Sea Kayak Troop and Unit Presentations (Local units only) - Invite our Staff and youth participants that have gone out on an adventure, to a Troop or unit meeting for an exciting Sea Kayak presentation!
