Southeast Georgia College of Commissioner Science

A Special Training Opportunity for ALL Scouters!!

Coastal Empire Council and Okefenokee Area Council

Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to Southeast Georgia College of Commissioner Science—a joint venture of the Coastal Empire Council and the Okefenokee Area Council. This year will mark our first college. It promises to be a super training and fellowship opportunity for all Scouters-not just commissioners. We can boast of some new courses, as well as our outstanding faculty and staff. A welcome would be incomplete without a THANK YOU from us to you. You make the difference. It’s the participants who bring an added sparkle to the college. We thank you for supporting the college, as well as for serving units and youth.

The reason for the College of Commissioner Science is training. The academic deans have worked faithfully to recruit a knowledgeable faculty who can teach effectively. It is our desire that you learn something you can take home and use in your position. You have a part in this. Our theme for this college is “Leadership begins with you!” It is our greatest hope that you will walk away with a renewed spirit and ready to face that challenge.

Take advantage of this opportunity to make new friends. Some of Scouting’s finest volunteers wear the commissioner’s patch. Associations you can make while attending the college can prove invaluable.

I am looking forward to seeing you at the College.
